SonLight

The other day as I was sitting outside enjoying the beautiful weather - blue clear skies and large amounts of sunshine - I looked down at my wedding ring. It was absolutely brilliant! The sun shining on it was making it shine and shimmer in a way it hadn't for a long time. 

That got me to thinking about us as believers in Jesus. Are we shining Christ's brilliance through us? Are we allowing Him to use us as a conduit of His Light to those around us? Do people see Jesus in all we say or do? Can they see past us and see the Source of our Light, our reason why we are different than the rest of the world? Or do we hide or dim that Light because we don't want to offend?

In spite of all our humanness and flaws that may make us feel dull and dirty, if we are in Christ, then His Light will shine through us with the brilliance of Him and not of us.
