Dark vs Light

 Light. 

They say that light is greater than darkness. 

And I know that to be true.

But sometimes I think I just overthink things.

Jesus is called "the Light of the world".

Satan is the ruler of "this dark world".

I know that Jesus has overcome the darkness and will reign for eternity.

But like I said, I sometimes wonder "is light greater than darkness?" (not Jesus but the physical light)

But the other evening, my pastor gave a great illustration of how light really is greater than darkness.

You take a purse (or any type of bag) and close it up tight. It would be dark inside that purse, correct? Yes, it would. Now open up that bag. Does the darkness that is currently inside of that bag now make the room dark? No it doesn't! The darkness doesn't permeate the room. 

Now what if there was a flashlight inside of that purse? You open up that purse and the light will make its presence known in that room.

Light overtakes darkness!
